LTC Resource Network Community Guidelines (Revised 4/2/2020)

As an online community of intelligent and experienced long-term care professionals, we have a variety of opinions on some topics.  LTC Resource Network, LLC welcomes this diversity, and asks that all of our participants adhere to these guidelines: Please be helpful and thoughtful.

Safety First
Through the online Forum, ltcresource.net allows health information professionals and users to post questions on the website so that other health information professionals can respond with their experiences on the topic.  No personal, resident or facility information should be shared in these exchanges; only general “what if” questions. Questions and answers are posted publicly on the site.  Please be advised that exchange answers posted here have not necessarily been reviewed by people with the expertise required to provide you with complete, accurate or reliable information. LTC Resource Network, LLC cannot guarantee the validity of the information found here.

If you need specific advice (for example: medical, legal, or risk management) please seek a professional who is certified or licensed in that area.

Users agree not to upload or transmit any communications or content of any type to the Public Areas that infringe or violate any rights of any party. By submitting communications or content to the Public Areas, you agree that such submission is non-confidential for all purposes.

When posting questions or comments, we ask that you don't give out personal information such as home or email addresses, telephone numbers, credit card numbers, social security numbers, passwords, etc. You may contact professionals directly from email links and then determine if such information is required.

Self Promotion
Health care professionals should not directly solicit clients as part of an answer, disclaimer, guide, or peer endorsement. Examples of direct solicitations are language such as "call me, contact me, go to my website for further information, etc.". Similarly, do not add contact information or links to your website in answers. Such information may be removed. The content of your postings should always remain non-commercial in tone.


Be relevant to other readers. When making comments on forum posts or articles, please stay on topic about that particular forum post or article. Provide information that you think will benefit other readers. While it isn't the intent of LTC Resource Network, LLC to censure or dictate public content, we want to ensure that the content is relevant to website visitors.

Be professional. Don't use obscene or profane language, ethnic slurs, personal insults or act in an unprofessional manner or manner that would not be acceptable in your own professional setting. LTC Resource Network, LLC reserves the right to remove any content (complete or in part) on its sites that may be deemed objectionable to other Users.

Be mindful of subject matters that may be offensive or inflammatory.Topics such as religion and/or politics may be sensitive areas to other readers. Please use your comments to assist your peers with their healthcare issues, not use them to promote your own beliefs or attack the views of others.

● It is illegal to infringe on copyright laws or plagiarize from other publications, sites, postings or other types of content.Please do not post content to which you are not the original creator, owner, or do not have permission for its use.  Illegal activity of any type is prohibited.

Contribute. Make your comments relevant and provide information that will have an impact on other readers.

● Hold Harmless. Individuals submitting posts to the Forum agree to hold LTC Resource, LLC, its agents, employees, officers and directors harmless from any loss, claim or damage arising from your use of any of the information and ideas contained on the site, including following suggestions or advice posted on the blogs.

Permission. The posts on the LTC Resource Network, LLC Forum are for your own non-commercial use only; they may not be reprinted, distributed or compiled without the express written permission of LTC Resource Network, LLC.

Legal Issues. Individuals posting the LTC Resource Network, LLC Forum are responsible for ensuring that posts comply with all applicable laws (such as those regarding defamation, etc.), and do not include inappropriate statements. Individuals should not include the names of other individuals or institutions (such as doctors, nurses, hospitals, etc.); the intent of LTC Resource Network, LLC Forum is to provide a venue for people to share their own experiences generally, not to call out others for praise or criticism.

LTC Resource Network, LLC does not select, screen, approve, endorse or limit who can post "Professional Information", including those who contribute responses to the Forum.  In addition, although we reserve the right to review, remove or edit any content from the site, we do not routinely screen, monitor, or review the content of any such Professional Information. As a result, we have no control over and we do not warrant or guarantee the accuracy, adequacy, applicability, completeness, currency or quality of any such Professional Information or the qualifications of those posting Professional Information. LTC Resource Network, LLC SHALL HAVE NO RESPONSIBILITY OR LIABILITY OF ANY KIND FOR ANY PROFESSIONAL INFORMATION YOU ENCOUNTER ON OR THROUGH THE SITE, AND ANY USE OR RELIANCE ON PROFESSIONAL INFORMATION IS SOLELY AT YOUR OWN RISK.

If you make any submissions you agree that you will not send or transmit to ltcresource.net by email, (including through the email addresses listed on the "Contact Us" page) any communication or content that infringes or violates any rights of any party. If you submit any business information, form, idea, concept or invention via email, you agree such submission is non-confidential for all purposes.

When you use the Forum, you are solely responsible for your own communications, the consequences of posting those communications, and your reliance on any communications found on the site. LTC Resource Network, LLC, nor its owners or staff are responsible for the consequences of any communications in the Forum. In cases where you feel threatened or believe someone else is in danger, you should contact your local law enforcement agency immediately. If you think you may have a medical emergency, call your doctor or 911 immediately.

LTC Resource Network, LLC Reserves the Right (but is Not Obligated) to Do Any or All of the Following:

  1. Investigate an allegation that a communication does not conform to the terms of this section and determine in its sole discretion to remove or request the removal of the communication.
  2. Remove communications which are abusive, illegal, or disruptive, or that otherwise fail to conform with these Terms and Conditions.
  3. Terminate a user's access to any or all Forums and/or the ltcresource.net site upon any breach of these Terms and Conditions.
  4. Monitor, edit, or disclose any communication in the Forum.
  5. Edit or delete any communication posted on the ltcresource.net site, regardless of whether such communication violates these standards.

LTC Resource Network, LLC or its licensors have no liability or responsibility to users of the ltcresource.net site or any other person or entity for performance or nonperformance of the aforementioned activities.

We appreciate your compliance with these guidelines. While we are devoted to free speech, we reserve the right to remove posts that do not respect these guidelines or that detract significantly from our users' experience on the site. Failure to comply with any of these guidelines may also result in the temporary or permanent loss of posting privileges.
