ICD-10-CM for Long Term Care Communities We offer a TWO DAY seminar on ICD-10-CM coding tailored to skilled nursing facilities. Beginning October 1st 2019, the Medicare Part A reimbursement (PDPM) will depend on the ICD-10-CM Code entered on the MDS. ICD-10-CM codes must be chosen according to the Official ICD-10-CM Coding Guidelines. ICD-10-CM Codes are also used for: 1) MDS submissions for all residents according to the RAI Manual instructions; 2) Medication and treatment orders for clinical indications and/or diagnoses; 3) Therapy orders and evaluations which show conditions being treated and billed; and 4) Claims for reimbursement of services provided.

This course covers ICD-10-CM coding for skilled and non-skilled long term care staff. We include many coding practice examples and scenarios to ensure that attendees understand ICD-10-CM Official Coding Guidelines and principles. Each attendee receives an ICD-10-CM Coding workbook with the presentation; coding examples and answers; and a resource section with additional coding reference information.
